ROAR NYC 2022 Wrap Up
Kings, Queens 👑
To say last week was one hell of a week would be a massive understatement. Our first time at NFT.NYC surpassed all of our expectations.
Here’s a look back at the week that was…
Day 1: The Main Event
We kicked off ROAR NYC with a bang at the main event at Ascent Lounge.
It was a crazy night of fun, food, and plenty of drinks! It was great to meet so many of the Lazy Lions fam and get to kick back and celebrate what has been an amazing 10 months.
We’ve loved seeing all your photos and videos, so make sure to keep tagging us. Or send your photos to email@example.com if you’d like them added to the photo gallery.
Day 2: Puma Pop-up
Our partnership with Puma materialized in the form of a pop-up at their Flagship NY store. And they may just have underestimated the demand from the Lazy Lions community as they struggled to keep up with demand for printed shirts.
If you were there, make sure to share photos of your gear and tag us. Or send your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like them added to the photo gallery.
Day 3: On stage at NFT.NYC
Ash and Nine were on stage at Coinbase Theatre, where they spoke about Expanding Your Fanbase: How NFT’s Help Creators Connect with their Fans in front of a modest crowd.
Day 4: Comic Book Launch & VIP Dinner
The day kicked off with the launch of our comic book.
And we finished off the week with an exclusive VIP steak 😉 dinner.
It was great to connect with so many Lazy Lions holders in a more intimate environment, and to surprise everyone with a physical copy of the comic book and a shirt to commemorate ROAR NYC 2022.
We hope you all had as much fun as we did 🦁

What a convention. What a time at ROAR NYC 2022! And what a f’n community!!
It was beyond exhilarating meeting so many Pride members at the three Lazy Lions events during the week of NFT.NYC. I want to personally thank each and every one of you that came out and showed your support… AND those who missed this year, but shared the love online. You’re all 👑s.
Monday night started with some nerves prior to the doors opening at The Main Event. We work, plan, and prepare these things for months, but there are always questions: Will people show up? Will they have fun? Did we do enough? All of that quickly dissipated at 9pm sharp when the long line outside came pouring in. The smiles, the energy, the Pride. It was beyond amazing to meet so many community regulars and all the new members. The conversations flowed as smoothly as the thematic drinks at the open Cabana Bar. It was pretty obvious to me from that moment… we have created something very special here.
Day two at the Puma Pop-Up was equally enjoyable. The Lions came out en masse! The unexpected wait times created the opportunity for a mini Lazy Lions meet and greet. Ash, Nine, and myself managed to chat with so many community members on a deeper level than the previous night. Passing the two and a half storey Lazy Lion indoor billboard, The Pride left the shop happy with Puma x Lazy Lions merch and gift cards in hand. And I left so excited for The VIP Dinner to continue these intimate style conversations.
Possibly my favorite night of ROAR NYC 2022 was The VIP Dinner. With a smaller number of invite-only attendees, it made connecting on a deeper level that much easier. No loud music, no in-store distractions; just breaking bread and fortifying relationships with family. It’s amazing the diversity of personalities and backstories that I managed to meet: chefs, businesswomen, rock violinists, project founders, students… all in the same room and all sharing a bond that is The Lazy Lions Private Island community.
I left ROAR NYC 2022 as I hope many of you did: reinvigorated, rejoiced, and re-imagining the possibilities that we all can accomplish together. There is no other community stronger than us and I’m humbled to be a part of it with you all.
